For the last several weeks, we have been on a journey to discover what it means to go deeper in our faith and community through the pursuit of holiness.
The most challenging series we’ve ever done at Journey may have been “My Brother’s Keeper” where we challenged everyone to embrace the idea that accountability and right judgment are powerful tools to growing in our faith. The world doesn’t live by this principle, but it is taught over and over in scripture.
“Undignified” was an important series to understand the abandon by which God calls us to know Him, love Him, and love others as well.
What I do know is this…
Without the right perspective, these ideas can be freeing.
With the wrong perspective, they can be a prison.
This Sunday we will celebrate moms at Journey, but we will also kick off a new series…Biblical Blunders.
Over the next few weeks, we are going to look at some of the pillars of the church.
Examples of godliness…People who got it….
And failed.
The pursuit of holiness is an important part of the Christian life but you will never master it. The apostles didn’t master it…they messed up all the time.
This is a perspective series to understand our frailty and faults in the midst of a grace centered gospel of redemption.
If you mess up in life…
Take hope…You are not alone!
