Last weekend, John shared a crucial principle about living a life of purpose and experiencing the gospel.

Change.

Jesus, John the Baptist, and all of the disciples were said, in the Gospels, to have shared a message of repentance.

Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel. Mark 1:14–15 (ESV)

Repentance literally means to “change” so the message could be translated, “change and believe in the gospel”. The problem for most people that hear this message is the cost of change. If you are experiencing a rough time of life, change can be positive. If life is decent, change can be fearful…the fear of the unknown.

The “good news” of the gospel is simply this…God is giving you an opportunity to experience eternal change in your life by believing that Jesus gave His life for you.

What would it look like to experience hope? Peace? Freedom? To never be alone? To have God teaching you and showing you His incredible plan for your life?

Are you ready to change? It’s a choice AND an opportunity.
