There’s something about sitting around a kitchen table with friends.
Not just acquaintances, but good friends.
That’s what “The Table” is all about.

I don’t know what your life is like, but mine can be pretty hectic. Depending on the season of life that you are in, I bet your’s is pretty hectic, too.

We try to catch up with friends and family through Facebook or Instagram. We try to get in the same room every now and again. We may call each other when we have a free minute or two.
The truth is, we are not the greatest about building relationships with people that aren’t in the lane of life that we constantly find ourselves.

You will build relationships with people that live under your roof, go to the same events that you do, and those that you work with. But what about the people we go to church with?

I have found that the greatest source of encouragement and support throughout life comes from family that shares the same values as me…my brothers and sisters in Christ.

We meet at “The Table” of our church every other month to get in the room with each other, share some great food, and remind ourselves how important we are to each other. Whether you are new to Journey or you’ve been in the family for a while, plan to be there and bring your favorite dish! You can sign up below.

Paul said this about the importance of your faith family:

23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Hebrews 10:23–25 (ESV)

As we await the return of Jesus, let’s draw near, encourage one another, and stir one another up for good works.

See you Sunday, September 15th immediately after worship!
